PRIVATE HOUSE OLD-PRAUNHEIM

The project closes a gap that existed for decades as an overgrown wasteland in the centre of Alt-Praunheim in Frankfurt am Main. The urban environment is characterised by small-scale and heterogeneous development. The new planning is largely determined by the surrounding buildings and their small-scale, angular structure, the existing preservation statutes, and the distance limits of the small building site.

The building is divided into a light-coloured plinth, which contains a spacious living area oriented towards the garden, and a private house placed on top of it, which accommodates the bedrooms. The roof area of the plinth serves as a roof terrace for the private house.
