"Maxie Eisen was a New York Mafioso in the 1920s, a time when pastrami, the famous beef brisket meat, was taking the city by storm. Pastrami is a speciality of the Maxie Eisen restaurant in the area surrounding Frankfurt's central train station. When planning their restaurant, the owners' aim was to create an authentic, raw atmosphere reminiscent of the streets in New York's Meatpacking District. For this, they chose indestructible classics by French designer Jean Prouvé."
