During the conversion of Möbel Pfister in Dübendorf into a new flagship store, 4 new escalators were installed in an existing atrium while sales operations continued. In addition, former outlet areas and the children's paradise were converted into new sales areas. Following the complete renovation of the store building, shop-in-shop concepts and a kitchen studio are now being realized on a sales area of 16,000 m2 in addition to the broad Pfister product range.
The conversion was particularly challenging because the entire project had to be carried out without closing the store. All of the demolition work, structural measures and alterations to the building and building services, including the installation of new fire compartments, had to be carried out during sales operations and with the least possible impact on customers.
JOP took on the planning, tendering and construction supervision of the entire project for Möbel Pfister. Möbel Pfister was then able to celebrate the opening of the new flagship store in Dübendorf in August 2023.
