This project is the new office space for Baader Helvea Group, also known as Baader Bank. This move will take the company from its current location at Talstrasse 9 in Zurich to a landmarked Art Deco building at the picturesque Freigutstrasse 12 in the Zurich-Enge district. JOP Architects were directly selected by CBRE as general planners for this project.

The main objective of this project was to design and remodel a new office for the renowned Baader Bank. In the process, some 19 workplaces were created, including spacious open-space areas, stylish individual offices and functional team offices. In addition, conference rooms of various sizes are available to employees, as are comfortable, informal meeting areas and an inviting kitchenette. Finally, an appealing customer reception area right at the office entrance ensures the perfect first impression.

Particular attention was paid to creating a fit-out standard that is not only smart and functional, but also meets the highest standards of ergonomics and aesthetics. The design concept was created in close collaboration with Baader Bank and draws on elements of the Art Deco style, giving the entire space a timeless, confidence-inspiring atmosphere. The team drew inspiration for the design from the surrounding Art Deco building in which the office is now located. It was noticed that after all these years, the interior of the building no longer had any features typical of the building period, so it was decided to revive these features by reinterpreting the Art Deco style.

The choice of materials was extremely challenging. A classic geometric parquet floor was reinterpreted to give the open-space room a contemporary character. The different wall colors emphasize and underline the intended uses of the various rooms. While subdued colors dominate in the public client areas, the hues change as you get closer to the office. In the rooms where team meetings and creative exchanges take place, wood-paneled walls in warm, brownish tones await for a cozy and calming effect. In the work areas, where concentrated work is done at the desk and computer, fresh and soothing pastel green tones shine, as green tones also have a calming effect that promotes concentration and reduces stress and tension.

Baader Bank's carefully crafted design concept is rounded off by the clever use of materials. Highlights made of precious brass, such as the brass wall in the reception area illuminated with the logo, blend seamlessly into the overall picture. In addition, a well thought-out plant concept extends throughout the office, creating a pleasant and inspiring atmosphere.

The highest value was also placed on quality and style in the furnishings. Timeless design classics were carefully selected to underline Baader Bank's values and fit perfectly into the magnificent Art Deco building and the newly designed office. The result is a working environment that is not only functional and prestigious, but also exudes a welcoming and warm atmosphere.
